Mool Kanwar

Mool Kanwar is a 19-year-old young woman from Naya Gaon, living in a joint family with her parents, grandparents, and four younger siblings. As the eldest child, she has carried significant household responsibilities from a young age.

Her father is a farmer, and her mother is a homemaker. Despite her strong desire to continue studying, she had to discontinue her education after the 8th grade due to financial difficulties.

Growing up in a traditional environment, Mool witnessed the challenges faced by girls balancing household duties, societal expectations, and personal ambitions. Even with these obstacles, she demonstrated determination, resilience, and a strong will, qualities that later shaped her journey as a skilled Wall Art artisan.

Skills and Experience: Artistic and Creative Skills

Mool’s Craftsmanship:

Mool has always been drawn to creativity and handwork, often experimenting with colors and patterns at home. When the TAC Center opened in Naya Gaon, she saw an opportunity to transform her passion into a skill that could generate income.

The training in Wall Art provided her with structured learning, mentorship, and resources to refine her techniques. Over time, Mool became adept at creating intricate designs and high-quality pieces, combining traditional aesthetics with innovative touches.

Her work reflects not only her skill but also her dedication to supporting her family financially.

Inspiration

Mool was inspired by the collaborative and creative environment at TAC, where women from diverse backgrounds shared ideas and learned from each other.

Seeing how other artisans combined traditional techniques with modern designs motivated her to experiment and innovate in her own work. Encouragement from mentors and peers boosted her confidence, allowing her to embrace challenges and develop her unique artistic style.

This environment nurtured Mool’s growth as an artisan and strengthened her belief in her potential.

Personal Story

Mool always had a talent for creativity but did not know how to turn it into a sustainable skill. When TAC opened in her village, her family encouraged her to join the training program, enabling her to focus on learning Wall Art and creating beautiful pieces that could also generate income.

Today, Mool contributes to her family’s income, helping ease financial pressures at home. Her family is proud of her achievements, and Mool feels empowered and confident in her abilities. TAC has provided her with the tools, guidance, and motivation to pursue her passion and make a meaningful difference in her life and her family’s well-being.
